Hang in there!!! ***EFFECTIVE RIGHT NOW*** Nova Scotia will form an Atlantic Bubble with New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador, allowing Atlantic Canadians to travel within the region without having to self-isolate. This decision was guided by the Chief Medical Officers of Health in each province and will continue to be closely monitored. Cape Breton Highlands National Park Updates Story by: Team Destination Cape Breton Important information about Cape Breton Highlands National Park Parks Canada is working with Destination Cape Breton Association, Tourism Nova Scotia, and other partners to keep visitors informed and safe. Access and services will be focused on limited autonomous day use of trails and other outdoor settings. The health and safety of employees, visitors, and all Canadians are of the highest priority for Parks Canada. The Agency is following the advice of public health authorities in resuming visitor access and services. Only places and activities where health and safety risks to employees and visitors can be mitigated will be available for visitation. The visitor experience will be different than it has been in the past as we adapt to COVID-19. News release No New Cases of COVID-19, Atlantic Travel Bubble Announced Health and Wellness / COVID - 19 June 24, 2020 - 1:01 PM As of today, June 24, Nova Scotia continues to have no active cases of COVID-19. The last new case was identified on June 9. Earlier today, the Council of Atlantic Premiers announced travel restrictions in Atlantic Canada will be eased as COVID-19 case numbers remain low in each province. Interprovincial travel within Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador, without the requirement to self-isolate for Atlantic Canadian residents, will be permitted beginning Friday, July 3. “Nova Scotians and Atlantic Canadians have worked hard to flatten the curve and we’re now in a place where we can ease restrictions within our region. This will allow families to travel and vacation this summer, boosting our tourism and business sectors. We’re looking forward to welcoming our neighbours back,”
